M.I.P. Party Patrol

PRIDE-Omaha, Inc., in conjunction with the LiveWise Coalition, is helping to coordinate M.I.P. Party Patrols in Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington Counties in Nebraska in order to prevent underage alcohol use.

Law enforcement agencies in these counties, as well as the Nebraska State Patrol, randomly conduct special selective enforcement efforts.  These patrols are devoted to investigating underage drinking activity, including teen drinking parties.  The patrols can also check areas where teen drinkers frequent and are able to respond to citizen complaints.

Follow-up investigations often include determining who supplied the minors with the alcohol.  When citations for procuring alcohol for minors are issued, PRIDE-Omaha, Inc. then works with communities to follow these cases through the adjudication system, urging the courts to hold those convicted of these crimes accountable.

Funding for the M.I.P. Party Patrols is supported in part by the LiveWise Coalition and Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare through the Substance Abuse Block Grant of the Department of Health and Human Services System.
